Transitions are hard - unless we find a way to enjoy the hard!

Lucky for you, that’s my specialty. I’m that weirdo who loves the messiness of transitions, welcomes the overwhelm, dances with the chaos, and embraces “the suck”. Is it how I live the majority of my life? No, but I’ve learned to enjoy the tough stuff as much as I enjoy the easy, flowing parts.

Strap in, it’s about to get kinky in here. We’re gonna embrace some taboos and feel really, really good about it!

The Bottleneck

The way I understand the universe is that there are 4 types of energy movements:

Expansive - goes out in all directions
Protective - goes inward from all directions
Directed - a combination of the 1st two that creates a directional movement. Time, orbits, and desire are all examples of directed energy.
Relational - the energy between everything.

Every time there is a noticeable shift in our lives, we’re getting directed. Sometimes life directs for us, like emergencies or opportunities, and sometimes we create them: desire, action, purpose, intention. In any case, we still have momentum toward the original direction and now we’re feeling the tension or pressure of changing direction.

AHHHHHH!

The moments when there’s a difference between where we’re looking and where we’re going are what make struggles real. And worse yet - we can get STUCK THERE. We can spin and spin in tight, frantic circles, cling to repetitive patterns that soothe but get us nowhere new. This is the Bottleneck. It’s where all 4 of those energies are in tension, crammed into a tiny space and ready to blow.

Ask me how I know…. ha ha…. seriously, everyone should look into TMS - it’s covered by insurance now.

Pop the Cork

I don’t think I need to go into much detail about what makes us small, feel the pressures of life, or how we often trade our power for a temporary sense of safety and soothing. Anxiety is a natural part of life. It’s its own beautiful energy that lets us know what we’re afraid of - and that is incredibly valuable information.

Where I think we get gummed up often is what to do with that information. Most of us are so repellent of fear that we will move toward anything to get away from what we’re afraid of. We won’t even look at it, we’re so terrified.

(If you’ve taken my quiz and gotten below a 45% overall or scored high in “The Detached,” this is your approach to money)

and what if . . .

What if we learn to love what we fear? What if we lean into the relational energy between ourselves and what we fear? Got any guesses as to what advantage that gives us other than just warm fuzzies? Tactically, it gives us something to move toward or attract to us instead of just repelling away from. It is an entirely different way to move in the world and be together. It is the energy flow of wealth.

Let’s kink it up a notch.

Name something you’re afraid of financially. Here’s an example:

I’m an entrepreneur with a new business. I’m afraid my business will fail and I’ll be destitute.

Write it down or say it out loud. Get your body involved somehow in naming what you’re afraid of. Notice how your body feels when you recognize what you’re afraid of. Your body will give you important information, so get out of your head for a sec. Note how you feel before we get started. Ok, let’s go!
